contentXXL Business Content Management Framework API

The contentXXL Business Content Management Framework API enables you to create your own components quickly, securely and inexpensively. The modules created using this method have the same features as the modules in the basic system or the premium modules, like drag & drop, versioning, workflow...

contentXXL enables you to create multi-language, dynamic and functional Internet, extranet and intranet sites based on Microsoft ASP.NET components quickly, confidently and cost-effectively. Creating commonly-used elements like messages/announcements, downloads, contact forms, etc, is quite simple; these components are placed on the wen page using Drag & Drop in the browser-based Site Manager and then skinned using templates with your own look and feel. Then all you need to do is make a few settings - and the desired functionality is created.

What happens if you need to create industry- or customer-specific functions, such as integration with a DMS, CRM or ERP systems?

Integrate ASP.NET Controls from the component market

You should always check out the component market first. Here, a variety of controls with advanced functionality for the most diverse of applications are offered at low prices. If you don't find what you are looking for, however, or if other factors, such as licensing costs, would prevent you from using a particular component, you can work with a partner to create new components for contentXXL or create them by yourself.

Seamless integration of your own components using Framework API

To do this you need to create User Controls (*.ascx) using Visual Studio or a similar programmes, just as you do in ASP.NET. When developing these components, the programmer can focus entirely on the desired functionality. The features required for them to work with contentXXL - such as the Drag & Drop in the Site Manager, for example - are all inherited from the contentXXL Business Content Management Framework. Additional optional features can also be used.

Using the Components

The contentXXL Business Content Management Framework API enables you to create your own components quickly, securely and inexpensively. The modules created using this method have the same performance characteristics as the modules in the basic system or the premium modules. In contrast to systems which, for example, have been extended using PHP or ASP scripts, the integration is seamless: there are no breaks in design, security or URL addressing. This makes administration simple and visitors see the system as a unified entity. Updates and upgrades are made as normal.

The costs of creating and operating these applications are considerably lower .
