Description

Often, a server-based integration of different applications on data level is either not possible or it entails high expenses. This is the case when the applications are not able to provide data via XML. Are the applications, however, able to provide content as web sites (HTTP), then the sites can be integrated into the own Internet presence. Using frames is usually ruled out because of the addressing via URL (search engines). The solution are IFrames: assigned parts of sites which act like frames. They can take in content of external applications and ensure that the site structure is preserved. For this functionality, the user needs the latest version of the browsers by Microsoft or Netscape.
